About Me

I was adopted and grew up in Kansas before spending nearly ten years in Texas. Eventually, I eventually found my way back home to be closer to family, but miss the weather! I am part of a diverse, blended family, and that experience shapes a lot of how I see the world. I love spending time with the people I care about, listening to live music, and getting lost in a good puzzle. Harmony, connection, and honoring each person’s unique worldview are values I carry into both my life and my work.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Counseling. My professional experience with counseling includes working with children and adolescents in a residential treatment setting, as well as conducting individual, family and group therapy, and working with community mental health resources. I am also a Kansas Supreme Court certified Mediator working with parties in conflict, navigating a conversation to find a resolution.

I believe in a holistic approach to well-being, focused on emotional, mental, physical, spiritual, and relational wellness. I use an integrative approach to combine therapeutic techniques, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Reality Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy to adapt to the needs of the client. Our childhood relationships, cultural background, and societal influences shape us, and our close relationships impact us. We all seek acceptance, connection, and love, and therapy can help you find ways to incorporate these elements into your life. While life is continually changing, having anchors can keep us from feeling like we are floating away from our true self.
